The Resistance Front, an affiliate of the outlawed Pakistan-based terror organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), took responsibility for the attack through a message on social media.
At least 26 people lost their lives and many others were wounded when terrorists fired upon tourists in India’s Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) region on Tuesday, marking the deadliest attack of this kind in nearly twenty years. The incident occurred at a renowned tourist spot in the picturesque Himalayan area of Pahalgam district.
This terrorist attack in Pahalgam, J&K, took place only days after Pakistan’s Army Chief, Gen Asim Munir, referred to Kashmir as Islamabad’s “jugular vein.”
Pakistan Army Chief’s Remark
Speaking at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad on April 16, General Munir discussed Kashmir, stating, “Our position is unequivocal; it was and will remain our jugular vein. We will not forget it. We will support our Kashmiri brothers in their courageous struggle.”
Addressing a group of Pakistanis residing abroad, he emphasized that they serve as the country’s ambassadors and should always remember that they represent a “superior ideology and culture.”
“You should certainly share Pakistan’s story with your children. Our ancestors believed that we were distinct from the Hindus in every facet of life. Our religions, customs, traditions, thoughts, and aspirations differ. This belief formed the foundation of the two-nation theory.”
He further defended the two-nation theory, which was fundamental to the Partition in 1947.
Pahalgam Terror Attack
On Tuesday afternoon, terrorists targeted Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, a prime tourist spot often called “mini Switzerland,” resulting in the deaths of at least 26 people, most of whom were tourists, and injuring approximately 17 others. Among the deceased were 25 Indian nationals and one Nepalese citizen, according to police reports.

According to the TV reports, this is the photo of the terrorists, who are involved in the Pahalgam terror attack. As per PTI, the terrorists used code name “Moosa, Yunus and Asif.”
Footage captured by survivors depicted bodies scattered on a meadow, with distressed individuals crying out and pleading for help.
This tragic event marked the deadliest attack on civilians in India since the 2008 Mumbai shootings, where over 160 lives were lost.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to India on Wednesday morning, vowed that those responsible for “this heinous act will be brought to justice and will not be spared.”
Terror Group Claims Responsibility
The Resistance Front, an affiliate of the prohibited Pakistan-based terror organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), claimed responsibility for the attack through a message on social media. The group expressed dissatisfaction over the settlement of over 85,000 “outsiders” in the region, which they argued was causing a “demographic change.”
However, an official government statement confirming the Resistance Front’s involvement in the attack is still awaited.

Motive Behind the Attack:
Experts suggest that the main motive of selective attack based on Religion was to make the differences between Hindu and Muslim to an extent that it can create internal disturbances to make the country become unstable on many fronts.
In the front, the Pakistan Army is denying any involvement in this attack, but there are indicators and hints that suggest that this was a well-planned attack to increase the religious instability in India.
There are many religious outbreaks already starting to happen where people are protesting with religious hate banners, which are creating tensions in those areas, and that can result in any sort of violence, which will meet the objective of General Asim Munir.
At this sensitive moment, as a country, we have to Stay Strong and together (All religions together) stand against this Attack and fight against Pakistan instead of indulging ourselves in religious tensions. If we indulge in any religious tensions, it will motivate Pakistan to do some more attacks like this in the Future, as we will fail to Stand Together. People from all religions should come forward and stand against this Attack. It’s the Attack on our Unity. People who lose their emotions or those who are more sensitive will fall into the trap of General Asim Munir.
We should SLAP General Asim Munir with our response to him and to the world by showing Unity and showing how we are together and will fight together against any such Attack if it happens in the future.
