Hyderabad: On Tuesday, a two-month-old baby boy from Telangana was allegedly slain by his mother inside an apartment building that was still under construction.
Police say the crime was discovered after a Dial 100 call was received on February 24 at around noon. An infant’s strange death in Speed Sunrally (Sanarelli) Apartments, close to the Outer Ring Road, was mentioned in the alert. A police squad raced to the scene.

Rajendra left the infant at home with his wife on Tuesday morning to go to work. He said to authorities that upon his return at approximately 11 a.m., he saw his wife by a fire pit and seen the infant being burned. After pushing her away, he discovered that the infant had passed away.

Police discovered after questioning that the accused reportedly bound the baby’s legs with rope and shoved cloth into his mouth to stop him from crying. She is suspected of putting the child’s body in the fire after it died.
“The baby’s mother killed him, according to our inquiry. ACP Shankar Reddy stated, “A case has been registered, and we are looking at everything, including potential domestic or health-related issues.”
For a post-mortem examination, the body has been moved. Additional research is being conducted.
