A viral photo shows the Canadian school shooter who killed a mother at home while brandishing a rifle.

Resurfaced family images show the first appearance of transgender high school dropout Jesse Van Rootselaar, who murdered his mother and stepbrother before killing six more people at a Canadian school. In one terrifying picture, the teen is shown grinning while brandishing a weapon.

The 18-year-old former pupil, who has a history of mental health problems, went on a shooting spree at a Tumbler Ridge secondary school on Tuesday. Before hitting her previous school and taking her own life, Rootselaar murdered her mother and stepbrother.

The photos that came to light showed her looking straight-faced in a number of them. For his 14th birthday, his grandmother shared the photos on Facebook.

“Happy 14th birthday, Jesse, our grandson! “I will always love you! XOXO,” the August 2021 post said.

The image that has been making the rounds online shows Rootselaar seated on the couch with a weapon in his hand and a big smile on his face.

Jesse Van Rootselaar: Who Is He?

Four years ago, Rootselaar, a transgender woman who was originally born as a man, left the targeted high school.

The shooter’s guns license had expired, and the weapons had already been seized from her home, according to Police Commander Dwayne McDonald. But later on, they were given back.

Due to Rootselaar’s history of mental illness, the police had made multiple house calls to see how she was doing.
