If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Ethics policy
We hold our reputation as a news organization in the highest regard, considering it our most valuable asset; thus, maintaining top-tier quality in our journalism is essential.
Whether audiences are tuning in via television and catch-up services, listening to radio bulletins or podcasts, or accessing content through our apps and website, they should always trust that FactsBay delivers credible and reliable news.
In the globe, journalism faces unprecedented scrutiny, which is why every FactsBay journalist must be well-versed in the legal and regulatory frameworks we operate within, as well as our internal guidelines and practices.
Recognizing the growing influence of social media in our daily work, we strive to uphold the same high standards across all our content, regardless of the platform where it is shared.
To reinforce these principles, we have outlined clear editorial guidelines here.
Furthermore, we expect our journalists to comply with the Ofcom Broadcasting Code.
Corrections policy
We expect our journalists to maintain accuracy at all times, but as they are only human, mistakes can occasionally occur. Therefore, we have a well-established process in place to address factual errors promptly and appropriately.
Viewers can reach out with complaints about any program by emailing factsbayinfo@gmail.com.
Alternatively, you can contact FactsBay via our live chat feature.
Our team continuously monitors the FactsBay inbox. If anyone contacts us to question or challenge a fact we have broadcast or published, we will carefully document the details of when and where it occurred.
Instead of engaging in a prolonged discussion, we will record their name, contact information, and the time of the inquiry, and escalate it to the Output Editor and/or Managing Editor. If it pertains to a legal matter, we will ensure our dedicated legal adviser is informed.
They will then assess what corrective action is necessary to rectify the error on the platform where it was published.
